C.D.T.A. Exams
As a certified dance teacher with the Canadian Dance Teachers Association and a member in good standing, students of DanceBridge are able to take their exams with a trained and certified examiner of the Canadian Dance Teachers Association Executive. Dance exams allow students to work towards achieving an internationally recognized certificate at a given level, and it gives the students the opportunity to receive feedback from an unbiased source. Exams give the students a goal to achieve that is not competitive or group oriented – each student receives personal feedback and a grading reflecting their level of technique and effort.
Dancewear! For all dance classes, dancers are required to wear proper attire. For dancers 6 and under – please wear a light pink sleeveless bodysuit and pink tights and appropriate shoes. Dancers may opt to buy the bodysuit with attached skirt or wear a skirt with their bodysuit. Dancers 7 and over are to wear a black sleeveless Mondor bodysuit with pink tights for ballet and beige tights for jazz/tap. Dancers may also wear bike shorts, dance pants, warm-up sweaters however no big baggy pants or sweaters are to be worn. Dancewear can be purchased in Uxbridge at Uxbridge Shoes and Repair or at any dance store (see Yellow Pages) Dancers who attend classes not in attire will not be permitted to take exams and may be asked to sit out of class if their attire is unsuitable for the class.
Studio Guidelines Please continue follow the studio guidelines to make DanceBridge a wonderful place to dance, grow and learn~!
1. The studio will open 15 minutes before the first class of the day/ evening and close 15 minutes after the end of an evening. 2. Please arrive for your class prepared to dance in your correct attire and your hair done. Much valuable class time is wasted when waiting for hair to put up, clothes to be changed and reminding dancers of expectations. 3. Students waiting to picked up after class must wait inside the studio lobby and not in the parking lot. 4. Please NO GUM at all in the studio 5. Parents, friends and family members or siblings are not to watch classes, as it is distracting to the instructors and dancers. If you wish to view a class, please make an appointment. 6. No waiting on the stairs or landing at the top of the stairs. 7. The only drink allowed in the studio is water. 8. Always try your best~! And don’t forget to practice at home~
